Obituary of Anna May Flynn

Anna May Flynn, 73, of Peabody, died Monday morning at Beverly Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Anna May (Mannix) Flynn. She was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of St. James High School, class of 1965. Anna was employed for over 21 years for GTE Sylvania as a lamp maker and retired in 2001 due to the plant closing. She then moved to Lake Wales, FL for several years before returning to Massachusetts in 2012 and has lived in Peabody for the past 8 years. Anna May is survived by many nieces, nephews, dear friends, and her cat Meghan. She was predeceased by her siblings, Thomas Flynn, Thelma Roche, and Kendra Herrick. Following cremation, a graveside will be planned next spring or summer once the COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted.
