Obituary of Lorraine Jean Perry

Lorraine Jean (Pelletier) Perry, 89, of Beverly and formerly of Peabody, died Tuesday at the Care One Nursing Center, Beverly after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Alberto Perry who died in 1993. She was born in Salem, MA on January 16, 1931, the daughter of the late Robert and Alphonsina (Jalbert) Pelletier and was raised there and later resided in Peabody most of her life before moving to Beverly 4 years ago. She was a Nurse’s Aide at the Pilgrim House Nursing Home, Peabody for 16 years prior to her retirement. She loved to sew; doing crocheting, knitting and also braided some rugs. She had belonged to the ladies bowling league at Metro Bowl, Peabody for many years. She loved to sing and yodel and delighted the nursing home patients with her music. She is survived by her children, Norman Martin Perry of Maine, Raymond Gerald Perry of Salem, Judy Kitchen and David Alfred Perry both of Rowley, Richard John Perry of Crestville, Fl and Scott Alan Perry of Georgetown; a brother Ernest Pelletier of Middleton and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great- great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.. She was the sister of the late Rita Szikney, Leo, Bob, Al and Robert Pelletier. Due to covidvirus 19 a private family service was held with a burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem MA.
