Lorraine L. (L’Italien) Dunajski, 93, of Peabody died peacefully on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Edward Dunajski. Lorraine was born and raised in Salem, the daughter of the late Albert and Cecile (Dumas) L’Italien and had resided there before moving to Peabody in 2003. She worked at GTE Sylvania Lighting in Danvers and later became a charge attendant at Danvers State Hospital for 30 years retiring in 1987. She was a longtime volunteer at North Shore Catholic Charities and St. Joseph Church Salem Food Pantry. She was devoted and very involved with her family caring for them and was a loving “Memere” to her precious grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was “Mem” to all who knew her and loved her from family to friends. She was an avid reader and loved nothing more than spending time with her family. From day trips to local beaches to family birthday parties. She loved to cook and bake, attending plays, movies and going out to eat with friends and family all over the North Shore. She is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law, Patricia Dunajski of Fond du Lac , Wi, Laura and Jack Kehoe of Gilford, NH, her grandchildren, Tasha Bobo and husband Ben, Nicole Bunaskavich and husband Jay, and Brandon Michaud and wife Maria, 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Todd Dunajski, and the sister of the late Henry, Raymond “Pete”, Harold and Lucien L’Italien. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home. All attendees are required to wear masks and keep social distancing during the visitation and service.
