Obituary of Alan P. Barteaux

Peabody – Alan P. Barteaux 88, beloved husband of Patricia (Sullivan) Barteaux, passed away peacefully at Beverly Hospital with his family by his side. Born in 1932, he was the son of the late Philip and Cecelia Barteaux. He received his education in Lynn and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Lynn. Mr. Barteaux had been employed for over thirty years in the shipping industry until the time of his retirement. Alan loved the simple pleasures of life; never one to pass up a good meal, all professional sports but most important was family celebrations. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Brenda McFeeters and Audrey Marble and her husband, Scott, a grandson, Edward McFeeter Jr. and a sister, Phyllis Mercer. His funeral service will be held at the Conway Cahill Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Friday, October 30, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A visitation will be held prior to the service on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. All attendees are required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
