Obituary of Dennis J. Jolly

Scranton, PA – Dennis J. Jolly 62, formerly of Lynn, died unexpectedly on Friday, November 6, 2020 at his home in Pennsylvania. Born and raised in Lynn, he was the son of the late Arthur and Constance (Dow) Jolly. He received his education at the Lynn Technical High School where he learned carpentry as a trade. An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country for three years as a member of the United States Marine Corp. A talented carpenter, Dennis started his own business, hiring the likes of his son and nephews to work for him and teaching them a career for their future. A longtime resident of Lynn before moving to Scranton, PA a year ago, he often visited the Calvary Christian Church in Lynnfield over the years as well as many A.A. and N.A. meetings. Surviving him are two sons, Dennis J. Mills and his wife, Christie of Peabody and Benjamin Jolly of Maine, a daughter, Jessica Jolly of Lynn, five grandchildren, Kylee, Sophia and Olivia Mills and James and Jackson Jolly, two sisters, Lisa Jolly and Mary Jolly both of New Hampshire, a brother, Russell Jolly of Florida and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Cubby Jolly and uncle of the late Joseph Jolly. Visiting hours will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street, Peabody, Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
