Obituary of Brian J. Morton

Brian J. Morton, 39, of Lawrence, formerly of Peabody, passed away Saturday morning following a lengthy battle with addiction. Brian was born on April 22, 1981, in Salem, MA, son of the late John R. Morton and Denise (Brochu) Morton. He was raised and educated in Peabody, graduating from Peabody Veterans Memorial High School, Class of 2000. He had apprenticed as a mason for a few years and had also worked at ADESA Auctions in Framingham. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, watching any of the Boston sports teams, but most importantly spending time with his family, especially during the holidays. He is survived by his mother, Denise Morton of Peabody; his sister and her husband, Jillian and Michael Gonzalez of Peabody; two nieces, Rachel-Marie and Jada one nephew, Joshua , and several extended family members. He was predeceased by his brother, Scott Morton. A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 19, from the 9:30A.M to 10:30A.M at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. A funeral mass will follow at St. John the Baptist Church, 17 Chestnut St, Peabody at 11A.M. Burial will be held privately. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. John the Baptist Church Outreach Program, 17 Chestnut St. Peabody, MA 01960.
