Obituary of Florence M O'Neil

Florence M (Ciaburri) O’Neil, 104, of Lynnfield and formerly of Everett, died on December 2, 2020 at the Rosewood Nursing Home as result of the Covid-19 virus. She was the devoted wife of the late John P. O’Neil. Born in Everett, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Theresa (DiNapoli) Ciaburri. She was raised and educated in Everett and was a graduate of Everett High School. She had lived in Lynnfield for over 70 years. Florence lived 104 ½ wonderful years and was a vivacious and gregarious woman who loved to entertain and was always impeccably dressed. She was an avid gardener and cook. She enjoyed painting with pastels and oil and would spend hours in her art studio painting scenery. She enjoyed cooking family dinners, winters in Florida, spending time on the water, and playing bingo with family and friends at Our Lady of the Assumption Church as well. She leaves behind her three grandchildren, David Donegan of Lynnfield, Kelli Meade of Marshfield, and Kerri Trapasso of Hewitt, NJ. She also leaves her four great grandchildren, Patrick Meade, and Elena, Thomas, and Sofia Trapasso and many other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughters Arlene O’Neil and Cheryl Donegan and her late husband Lynnfield Police officer David T. Donegan and her brothers, Leonard, Richard, and Francis “Sonny” Ciaburi and her sister Vera Kennedy. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Assumption Church, Lynnfield followed by her burial in Forest Hill Cemetery, Lynnfield to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Ave, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451-8750. All attendees are required to wear facial covering and maintain social distancing as well.
