Obituary of Michael J Tretola

Michael J Tretola, 84, of Peabody, died Wednesday December 9 at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington due to complications from Covid-19. He was the beloved husband of the late Charleen Joan (Wilkinson) Tretola. Born in Swampscott, he was the son of the late Pompey and Philomena (Faino) Tretola. He was raised and educated in Swampscott and was a graduate of Swampscott High School, class of 1954. He has resided in Peabody for over 50 years. Michael was a machinist who worked for General Electric in Lynn for over 24 years. He enjoyed bowling, tinkering in the back yard and was a mechanic as well. He also enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage and going to his camp in Maine with family and friends. Michael is survived by his children, Jeffrey and his wife Maria Tretola of Lowell, Beth and her husband Scott Perry of Framingham, David Tretola of Peabody and Cindy Tretola and her fiancé Ed of Lynn, his sister-in-law, Doe Zottoli and her husband Steve of Woods Hole, his sister-in-law, Marjorie Wilkinson of Ipswich, and by his beloved 6 grandchildren, Brandon and Holly Tretola, Jake and Nick Perry, and Destiny and Mikey Kerivan, and by his great grandchild, Ellie Balfour, and his brother Pasquale Tretola of Swampscott. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Raymond Wilkinson. Due to the Coronavirus all services were held privately on Wednesday December 16.
