Obituary of Chester Buczek

Chester Buczek 87 years, husband of the late Jean (Visken) Buczek, died Tuesday at the Union Hospital in Lynn after a brief illness. Mr. Buczek was born June 12, 1917 in East Hampton son of the late Joseph and Anna (Latos) Buczek. He was raised in Salem and attended the Essex Agricultural School. He has been a resident of Peabody for the past 65 years. Mr. Buczek was employed for most of his life as a leather worker at Salem Suede. During his youth he was very active in sports and enjoyed fishing. He also loved gardening. A daughter, Carol Ann Buczek of Peabody, survives him. His funeral will be held Saturday at 8 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 20 Church St., Peabody location, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Friday 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. Burial in Lithuanian Cooperative Cemetery, Nashua, NH.
