Obituary of Frances E. Rigol

Peabody – Frances E. (Donovan) Rigol 91, beloved wife of the late Francis (Henry) Rigol, died Sunday, December 20, 2020 at the Brentwood Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Danvers. Born and raised in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Arlene(Stickney) Donovan. She received her education in the Lynn school system. Mrs. Rigol had been employed for many years as the Director of the Council of Aging in Saugus where she was instrumental in the designing and opening of the new Senior Center in Saugus. Prior to that, she had worked for the Council on Aging in Peabody. A longtime resident of Peabody, Mrs. Rigol was a longtime parishioner of St. John the Baptist Parish in Peabody and enjoyed cooking, antiquing, dancing and walks along the ocean. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. Surviving her are five sons, Henry F. Rigol Jr. and his wife, Brenda of Virginia, Timothy M. Rigol and (Teresa) of Peabody, Patrick C. Rigol and (Beth) of Peabody, Daniel D. Rigol and (Janna Berger) of Wellesley/Boston and Joseph L. Rigol and his wife, Kelly of Peabody, nine grandchildren, Jakob, Lee, Emma, Patrick Jr., Jack, Dylan, Grace, Sean and Jenna and a sister, Marilyn Parrella of Swampscott. She was also the grandmother of the late Katherine Rigol and sister of the late Richard and James Donovan. ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church, 17 Chestnut St., Peabody, Monday, December 28, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. Burial will be private. All attendees are required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452.
