Obituary of Dorothy Rita Rosenberg

Dorothy Rita (Donovan) Rosenberg, 90, of Peabody, died early Wednesday morning at the Masconomet Nursing Home in Topsfield following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Leonard Rosenberg. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Anna (Campbell) Donovan. She was raised and educated in Boston and has lived in Peabody for the past 50 years. She is survived by her four daughters, Dorothy “Dolly” Mele of Wakefield, Susan Ingalls and her husband Charles of Danvers, Nancy J O’Neil and her husband James of Peabody and Leslie Emack of Beverly, her sister, Kathleen MacPherson of Quincy, her brother, Robert and his wife Joanne Donovan of GA, and by 15 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Stephen Kadlick, her daughter Donna Crehan, and her brother, Leonard Donovan. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Lake St, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. All attendees are required to wear facial coverings and maintain social distancing as well. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to either St. Jude’s Children’s research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to MSPCA, 350 South Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02130.
