Obituary of Kenneth J. Craig
North Reading – Kenneth J. Craig 70, formerly of Peabody, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 16, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family, following a long illness.
Born and raised in Somerville, he was the son of the late Edgar W. and Marion (DiCicco) Craig and identical twin brother to Edgar Craig Jr. Ken graduated from Somerville High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bentley University in Waltham.
Before his long deserved retirement, Mr. Craig was a self-employed certified public accountant (CPA) for over 25 years, who loved taking care of everyone’s taxes. Ken had also been employed for many years with the Insurance Fraud Bureau of Massachusetts and prior to that he had worked for the Office of the Attorney General of Massachusetts, Tonneson and Company, PC and M.G. Sherman. A longtime resident of Peabody prior to moving to North Reading, he was the former President and longstanding Board member of the Boston Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), a member of the Massachusetts Society of CPAs (MSCPA) and a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). When he wasn’t on his adding machine, Ken enjoyed vacationing in Florida and cruising, walking his dog Fred and indulging in sweets. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Constance (Anzalone) Craig, and his two children: Candace Bulishak and her husband, Gregory of Islamorada, FL, and Kenneth J. Craig Jr. and his wife, Kathryn of Millis; his five grandchildren: Roman Bulishak, Sloane Bulishak, Elliot Craig, Harlow Bulishak and Lydia Craig; his twin brother, Edgar Craig Jr. of Peabody and brother, John Craig of FL and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours with the family will be at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Friday, February 19, 2021 from 3 to 6 p.m. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church, 17 Chestnut St., Peabody, on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. His burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. All attendees are required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) or the Lewy Body Dementia Association (LBDA).
