Obituary of Kenneth Manuel Ferreira

Kenneth Manuel Ferreira, 37, of Danvers and formerly of Peabody, died unexpectedly early Tuesday morning at Beverly Hospital. He was the devoted husband of Lucia (Pais) Ferreira with whom he shared over 6 years of marriage. Born in Salem, he was the son of Maria (Silveira) Ferreira of Peabody and the late Arlesio B. Ferreira. He was raised and educated in Peabody, graduated from Peabody Veteran’s Memorial High School in 1988 and has spent the last two years living in Danvers. After high school, he studied Criminal Justice at North Shore Community College for two years. He was currently working as a welder for the North Shore Steel Inc and has been an Iron worker for the past 11 years. He also was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, camping and white water rafting and boating, and was also a member of the Holy Ghost Society in Peabody. Besides his loving wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Kyle David Ferreira of Danvers, a brother, Rick C. Ferreira of Peabody, his grandmother, Biondina B. Silveira of Peabody, an uncle David and his wife Filomenia Silveira of Peabody, his nephews, Rick and Nicholas Ferreira, both of Peabody as well as several other nieces, nephews, and cousins. His funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Salem. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Luso American Credit Union, 37 Tremont St., Peabody, MA 01960.
