Obituary of Alice M. (Reynolds) D'Orazio

Alice M. (Reynolds) D’Orazio, 72, of Peabody and formerly of Chelsea, died peacefully Sunday morning at her home following an extended illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Joseph D’Orazio. Born in East Boston, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Hayes) Reynolds. She later lived in Chelsea and has spent the last 15 years living in Peabody. She worked for the Chelsea Public School Department as a cafeteria worker for over 15 years before retiring. Family was important to Mrs. D’Orazio and she cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was revered as the Matriarch of her family. She will be sadly missed by her family and is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Dolly D’Orazio of Stow, three daughters Catherine D’Orazio of Rowley, Alice and her husband Peter Mizzone of Boxford, and Rose Linda D’Orazio of Saugus, a brother, Thomas Reynolds of Keene, NH, and a sister, Doris Dean of Saugus, her grandchildren, Cherie LeClair, Katie Lo Conte, Jacqui Lo Conte, Joanna D’Orazio, Tori Lo Conte, and Cassie and John Mizzone, two great grandchildren, Amanda and Ariana, and is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in St. John’s Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, Ma 01923.
