Obituary of Willie J. Brown
Willie J. Brown was born on November 1, 1962, in Waco, TX, son of Barbara-Jean (Jones) Brown and Andrew Brown. Willie moved to Boston when he was eight years old, and went on to attend Grover Cleveland High School in Boston. Willie has a passion for cooking and drawing and was also an avid Patriots fan. He had worked at the Lowell Fruit Company for many years until he was wrongfully accused and served 10 years in prison. He returned home in 2018 and began putting his life back together with his family and friends. On Friday, January 29, 2021, Willie passed away from a sudden heart attack, and now joins his older brother David Brown. He leaves behind his brothers Sheldon Brown and Alvin Brown; his only sister, Mia Brown. Willie also leaves behind his five children Dion Singletary, Deja Singletary, Dashawna Singletary, DeAndre “Duke” Singletary and his wife Delisha, Teaghen Brown; his granddaughters, Heaven and Nevaeh Armstrong, and Anyilah Singletary. Willie also leaves behind his right-hand man, Garfield “Dino” Sales, who referred to him as “Chilli” and his god children, Garfield Jr., Kiara, and Christian Sales.
Willie was a very outgoing, positive person who will truly be missed. Service for Willie will be privately held.
