Obituary of Thomas C. Weiser

Peabody – Thomas C. Weiser 66, beloved husband of Peggy-ann (Travalini) Weiser, died Friday, February 26, 2021 at the Beverly Hospital due to complications from Covid-19. Born in East Orange, NJ, he was the son of Helen (Musmeci) Weiser of Hull and the late William Weiser. He was raised in Framingham and graduated from Marian High School in Framingham, class of 1973. He continued his education earning a bachelor’s degree from Bentley College in Waltham. Mr. Weiser had been employed for over twenty-five years as a regional director for Filelatone of Manassas, VA. Active in the community and civic organizations, Tom was a member of the Knights of Columbus Druillette Assembly #390 as well as a 4th Degree Druillette Assembly. He was active with the Boy Scouts of America - Spirit of Adventure Council and served on the Board of Directors of the Sutton Residence for Women in Peabody. A longtime resident of Peabody, he was a loving husband, father, son, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his wife with whom he shared thirty eight years of marriage and his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Laura Rowitsch and her husband, Zach of Tewksbury and Erika Weiser of Gloucester, and a son, Patrick Weiser of Peabody. He was the greatest Grampi in the world to his three grandchildren, Charlotte, Nikolai and Penelope Rowitsch all of Tewksbury. Two sisters, Adrienne Garner and her husband, Wesley of Goldsboro, NC and Gwen O’Keefe and her husband, Mike of Franklin, NC, three brothers, Eric Weiser of Hull, Matthew Weiser of Lebanon, ME and Kurt Weiser and his wife, Erica of Waxhaw, NC, his mother-in-law, Kay Travalini of Peabody, two sisters-in-law, Kathy Vieira and her husband, Ed of Peabody and Jeannie Travalini of Smithfield, RI, a brother-in-law, John Travalini of Peabody and many nieces and nephews. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church, 17 Chestnut St., Peabody, Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A visiting hour will be held at the church prior to the Mass on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. All attendees are required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the charity of your choice.
