Obituary of Gale D. Couture

Gale D. (Harwood) Couture, 73, of Peabody, died Tuesday afternoon surrounded by her family at Beverly Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Arlington, she was the daughter of the late Donald K Harwood, Sr, and Marjorie (Carney) Harwood. She was a lifelong resident of Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1965 For the last 15 years Gale was the co-owner of the Onion Town Grill, with her brother Don. She enjoyed spending time in her backyard, gardening, and swimming in her pool. Her favorite activity was spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Madison. Gale is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Eric and Leslie Couture and Donald and Melissa Couture, all of Peabody, her brother, Donald K Harwood, Jr and his wife Karen of Salem, her niece and nephews, Jarrod, Sarah, and Justin Harwood and is also survived by her beloved granddaughter, Madison Couture. Following cremation, visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at a later date.
