Obituary of Joyce A. Fournier

Peabody- Joyce A. (Hogrell) Fournier, 78, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 surrounded by her loving family after her courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. She was the beloved wife of Philip A. Fournier with whom she shared 42 years of marriage. Joyce was born in Lynn on February 15, 1943, daughter of the late George H. and Claire B. (Kummel) Hogrell. She was a graduate of Lynn English High School, class of 1960. In 1962, Joyce moved to Peabody where she resided for 59 years. Mrs. Fournier had been employed by Intercity Home Health Care in Salem, where she worked as a Home Health Aide for many years. She also worked as a nanny in the Town of Marblehead. She was a proud and loyal friend of Bill W. Joyce truly loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She especially adored her grandchildren and will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Susan E. Loyte of Salem, and Cheryl A. McLaughlin and her husband, Matthew of Byfield, her stepsons, Dennis A. Fournier of Taunton, and David H. Fournier of California; her grandchildren, Jaclyn Fournier, Meredith Roffman, Thomas and Stephen Loyte, Riley and Shea McLaughlin, Drew, Mack, Shane, and Brianna Fournier; and her greatgrandchildren, Kendall Gallant and Jaxson Loyte. ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, on Friday, April 2, 2021, from 4 to 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. All attendees are required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
