Obituary of Paula L. (Falvey) Dooley

Paula L. (Falvey) Dooley, 49, wife of David C. Dooley of Peabody, died Wednesday October 11, 2006 at Salem Hospital after being stricken at her home. Mrs. Dooley was born on March 9, 1957 in Malden, daughter of Brenda (Willard) Falvey of Peabody and the late Paul Francis “Popeye” Falvey. She was raised in Everett and graduated from Pope John XXIII High School in Everett class of 1975. She then attended North Shore Community College and received a degree as a Radiologic Technologist. Prior to moving to Peabody 17 years ago she resided in Lynn and Everett. Mrs. Dooley began her working career as a radiologic technologist at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston where she was employed for several years. Later on, she returned to North Shore Community College and obtained a 2nd degree as an Occupational Therapist. She was presently employed for the City of Winthrop School Department as an occupational therapist / teacher at the Cummings Elementary School. Paula was the President of the F Stage One Association of Patrons S.O.A.P. @ Peabody Veterans Memorial High School. One of Paula’s proudest moment was the benefit she organized for her nephew’s cancer treatment along with the help of her many other nieces and nephews that she adored. In addition to her husband and mother of Peabody, she is survived by 2 daughters, Kelly R. Dooley and Rebecca F. “Becky” Dooley of Peabody; 2 sisters and their husbands, Tina and Bruno Wroblewski of Pelham NH and formerly of No. Reading, Colleen and Athan Vontzalides of Peabody, her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Maureen and Frank Falite of Billerica, Sissy Liston and Linda Dooley both of Everett, Kathleen and Stephen DellIsola of Topsfield, Helen and Thomas Barnacle of Methuen and Barbara and James Dooley of Melrose; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Her brother-in-law Eddie Dooley pre deceased her. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. (new location) Peabody followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Adelaide Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody. Visiting hours Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
