Obituary of Scott J. Morton
Scott J. Morton, 25, of Peabody, died unexpectedly on Thursday afternoon after being stricken at his home.
Born and raised in Peabody, he was the loving son of John & Denise (Brochu) Morton of Peabody. He was a lifelong resident of the city and had attended Peabody Public Schools and was a graduate of Peabody Veteran’ s Memorial High School, class of 1995.
He had worked for Sears Roebuck Co., as a credit collector. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed all sports, especially baseball. He also was a member of the Varsity Hockey and Lacrosse Teams for Peabody High School. He also enjoyed music and playing the guitar.
Besides his loving parents, he is survived by a daughter, Rachel Thomas of Beverly; a sister, Jillian Morton, A Senior at Peabody High School; a brother, Brian Morton of Oxford; his maternal grandparents, Henry & Rita Brochu and the late Mary Brochu; and several aunt, uncles, and cousins.
His funeral will be held on Monday @ 10:00 from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’ s Church at 11:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Sunday from 5-8 PM. At the request of the family, burial will be private.
