Obituary of Anthony S. Adamczyk

Anthony S. Adamczyk PEABODY—Anthony S. Adamczyk, 89, beloved husband of Sophie (Pabisz) Adamczyk, died Friday morning at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a brief illness. Born in Chelsea, on May 27, 1917, he was the son of the late John and Marcella (Weinczyk) Adamczyk. He worked as a Factory Superintendent with William E. Arnold Company in Malden for 30 years before his retirement. He was a communicant and longtime member of St. Joseph’s Church in Peabody where he was active in the Holy Name Society, and was a member and Past President of the St. Michael’s Society of Peabody. He is survived by: his wife, Sophie (Pabisz) Adamczyk of Peabody, with whom he shared 65 years of marriage; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Anthony F. & Linda Adamczyk of Clifton Park, NY, Chet & Linda Adamczyk of Simsbury, CT, and Philip Adamczyk of Peabody; five grandchildren, Kristen & Karl Schmieder of Brooklyn, NY, Katherine Adamczyk of Warwick, NY, Michael Adamczyk of Brooklyn, NY, Eric Adamczyk and Christina Adamczyk, both of Simsbury, CT; three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sophie Sosnowski. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a visitation on Tuesday from 10 to 11 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody. A Funeral Service will follow, then burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Memorial Donations may be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA 01923.
