Obituary of Antonio M. "Tony" Boga

Antonio M. “Tony” Boga, 39, husband of Nelita M. “Lita” (Fagundes) Boga of Peabody, died unexpectedly Sunday October 22, 2006 at the Union Hospital in Lynn after being stricken at his home. Mr. Boga was born September 30, 1967 in Graciosa, Azores son of Humberto and Alvarina (Da Silva) Boga. He along with his parents immigrated to the United States in 1975 to live in Peabody. Tony attended the Peabody Vocational High School. Tony was presently employed as a truck driver for Waste Management in Gloucester. Prior to this, he was employed for several years in the same position at Capitol Waste in East Boston. Tony’s family always came first and foremost along with his many friends. He loved making wine and barbecuing. He enjoyed playing soccer, inventing things and was know by everyone as being a part time comedian. Tony was a man of many talents, he built and fixed everything. He recently finished building his home in Peabody about a year ago. Tony and his family often finished tasks together. Tony's four children helped do all the finish work in the house and recently just finished building the deck. All his children have taken the great motivation nd are following into his footsteps. In addition to his wife and parents of Peabody, he is survived by his 4 children, Antonio M. Boga II, Dylan H. Boga, Austin P. Boga and Nadia E. Boga all of Peabody; a brother and his wife, John and Rosangela Boga of Gloucester; 3 sisters and 2 brothers-in-law, Lucia and Carlos Sousa, Christina Boga, Vanessa and Pedro Bettencourt all of Peabody; his mother-in-law, Avelina (Mendonca) Fagundes of Peabody; his father-in-law, Dimas Fagundes of Idaho; his in-laws, Joe and Maureen Fagundes, Paul Fagundes and Allison Dennehy, Gabriella Fagundes, Mark and Linda Mendonca all of Peabody, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. His funeral will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., (new location) Peabody followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Walsh Ave., Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
