Obituary of Sister Margaret Francesca, S.N.D.

Sister Margaret Francesca O'Malley, S.N.D., 80 years, in Ipswich, Aug. 1, born Barbara Eileen O'Malley in Framingham daughter of the late Edward F. and Margaret L. (Desmond) O'Malley. Sister and sister-in-law of Dorothy and Philip O'Connell of Framingham; aunt of Mary Sposata, Martha Goulet and John O'Connell all of Framingham and Barbara Chapdelaine of So. Hadley. Sister of the late Dr. Francis Edward O'Malley. Sister Margaret entered the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur on Aug. 8, 1944, prefessed her first vows Jan. 30, 1947 and made her perpetual vows on July 30, 1952. She attended Emmanuel College receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree then attended Boston, Assumption and St. Francis Colleges majoring in the french language. Sister's ministries included Sacred Heart, Springfield; NDA, Roxbury and Tyngsboro; St. Mary's, Waltham and Lawrence; Presentation, Brighton and the Notre Dame Residence in Ipswich. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. in Our Lady Queen Chapel, 30 Jeffrey's Neck Rd., Ipswich. Relatives and friends may pay their respects Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur Residence, Ipswich. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, Ipswich.
