Obituary of Angelo C. "Angie" Costa

Angelo C. “Angie”Costa, 76, of Peabody, husband of the late Josephine “Chickie” (D’Amore) Costa died Tuesday October 31, 2006 at the Jewish Rehabilitation Center in Swampscott. Mr. Costa was born on December 19, 1929 in Boston son of the late Frank and Carmela (Mastroeni) Costa. He was raised in Boston and graduated from Boston Technical High School in 1948. He then pursued his education and attended Wentworth Institute in Boston for 2 years. Before moving to Peabody in 1960, he resided in the west end of Boston for several years. Mr. Costa was employed as a brick mason and foreman and has been a 51-year member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman Union Local # 3 Eastern MA. He was a member of the Sons of Italy, an avid golfer, loved to cook and listen to music. He is survived by his loving children and their spouses, Linda McElroy and her companion Robert Fournier, Frank and Brenda Costa all of Peabody, John and Susan Costa of Seabrook NH and Richard Costa and his companion Laurie Moore of Lynn; 2 brothers and 3 sisters-in-law, Frank and Josephine Costa of Peabody, Charles and Katherine Costa of Watertown and Eleanor Costa of Chelmsford; 10 very special grandchildren, Gina Sigler of Pembroke, Angela Simeone of No. Andover, Annette Fronduto, Renee Costa, Maria Costa, Frank Costa Jr., Vincent Costa all of Peabody, Alyssa Costa, Kevin Mahoney both of Seabrook NH and Robert Mahoney Jr. of Malden; 2 great granddaughter, whom he cherished, Ashley and Emily Sigler of Pembroke; 4 step children, Michael, Mark and Jeff Caron and Christine Thibodeau, many nieces and nephews. His brother Joseph Costa pre deceased him. His funeral will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., (new location) Peabody followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Adelaide Church, Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Friday 4 to 8 p.m. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
