Obituary of Anne M. (O'Rourke) Bartman

Anne M. (O’Rourke) Bartman PEABODY—Anne M. (O’Rourke) Bartman, 73, beloved wife of the late Elwood “Bart” Bartman, died Friday morning at the Blueberry Healthcare Facility in Beverly following a brief illness. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Anna (Kirrane) O’Rourke. She graduated from Salem High School, Class of 1950. She lived there most of her life, and also lived in Florida for 11 years, then the last seven years in Peabody. She was employed with the Boston & Maine Railroad as a Payroll Clerk. Mrs. Bartman was active in St. Thomas the Apostle Church for years, and was a member of the St. Thomas Women’s Club. She especially loved her role as a nurturing mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all her friends and family, including three generations: James & Christine Bartman and Jason & Benjamin all of Danvers; Laurie & Jeffrey Sypole and Jonathan & Jeffrey, Jr., all of Randelman, NC, Cynthia & Jeffrey Chrissis and Nicholas & Alexandra, all of Powell, OH; Sally Tokson & her deceased husband Marshall, and Sarah, Adam, Elisabeth & Audrey all of Beverly; and Nancy & Jeffrey Erickson and Cain & Colby all of Plaistow, NH and a great-granddaughter Emily; two brothers, Edward & Helen O’Rourke of MI and Thomas & Marilyn O’Rourke of Peabody, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 4 to 6 P.M. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody. Her funeral will be held on Monday at 12 Noon at the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 1 PM in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Peabody Salem line to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
