Obituary of David Alan Rowen

David Alan Rowen, 51, of South Hamilton, died Wednesday evening at his home surrounded by his family after a brief illness. He was the husband of Audrey Dalton with whom he shared over 13 years of marriage. He was born in Peabody on September 27, 1955 the son of Robert and Mary (Zielinski) Rowen and was a graduate of Peabody High School in the class of 1973. He later lived in Danvers and has spent the last 17 years living in South Hamilton. He served during the Vietnam War with the US Navy and the Sea Bee’s prior to his discharge. He had been employed for 15 years with the Eastman Gelatin Corp of Peabody. He enjoyed cooking, painting and doing poems. He was also an avid Red Sox and Patriot Fan. Surviving him besides his wife and parents are 3 daughters, Alix Rowen of So. Hamilton, Christina and her husband SSgt. Glen Litchfield of Tenn. and Jennifer and Sr. A. Nicholas D’Orazio, a brother Dennis Rowen and his wife Kathleen Mahalares of Peabody, three grandchildren, Tyler, Ryan and Maegan, a niece Heather Fejes and her husband Louis and a nephew, Joshua and his wife Cecile Rowen. A Visitation will be held on Monday from 2:00- 4:00 PM. and 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. His funeral Service will be held on Tuesday morning at 10:000 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hamilton Cemetery, So Hamilton.
