Obituary of Donald William Ellis

Donald W. Ellis, 54, of Peabody, died Sunday evening, December 3, 2006 at his home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Beverly, Ma on March 4, 1952 the son of Orlo (Cann) Ellis and the late M. William Ellis and had resided in Peabody all his life. He was a graduate of Bishop Fenwick High School in 1971 and the New England Burner Institute. He was the owner and operator of the Ellis Oil Company in Peabody where he was employed for 35 years. He was an avid sports fan and loved watching the local Boston sports teams play. He especially enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the Beverly Golf and Tennis Club for many years. He was very proud of his hole-in-one on the 12 th hole at Beverly. He was also a member of the A.O.H., Div. 11 of Peabody. He is survived by his mother of Peabody, a sister, Elaine and her husband John Marshall, a brother, Kenneth and his wife Kathleen Ellis, a brother, Michael and his wife Patricia Ellis and a sister Marianne and her husband Donald Onusseit all of Peabody, a brother, Larry and his companion Erica Khan of Gloucester, and a special friend, Janet Woodbury of Danvers and many aunts, uncles and cousins and friends. He was also the loving and devoted uncle to Nicole Ellis and Julie, Laura and David Onusseit of Peabody. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2:00 until 4:00 PM and 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the new 82 Lynn St. Peabody facility. His Funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Peabody at 10. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
