Obituary of Marilyn R. (Jacobs) Forrest

Marilyn R. (Jacobs) Forrest, 76, of Peabody died early Friday morning at the Peabody Glenn Nursing Center, Peabody after a long illness. She was the wife of the late James Forrest. She was born in Lynn, Ma on December 14, 1929, the daughter of Olive G. (French) Jacobs and the late Lawrence E. Jacobs. She was a graduate of Lynn English High School in 1947 and was a member of the High School Band and later was an active member of the Alumnae reunions. She had worked at the John Hancock Life Insurance Company in the Boston Office for 40 years prior to her retirement in 1987. She was an avid knitter and enjoyed sewing for herself and others. She is survived by her mother of Lynn, 2 brothers Laurence Jacobs of Acton and Alexander J. Jacobs of Marlborough, CT., 2 neices, Christina O’Rourke of Pembroke, NH and Beth Jensen of Andover, Ma five nephews, Dennis E. Jacobs of Derry, NH, Kristoffer E., Joseph A., James W. and Scott L. Jacobs all of Ct., and many grandnieces and grandnephews and dear friends. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 3:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway,Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM in the Funeral Home with Rev. William Krawczyk, pastor of the Church of the Open Bible, Burlington presiding and assisted by Rev. John Carbone, Assistant pastor. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Parkinson Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, NY, NY 10018 in her memory.
