Obituary of Dennis J. Stone

Dennis J. Stone PEABODY—Dennis J. Stone, 45, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday morning at the North Shore Medical Center Salem Hospital in Salem. He was the husband of Roxanne (Holt) Stone of Salem. Born in Peabody, he was the son of Robert Stone of Lynn and Maryann (Liimatainen) Paris-Stone of Peabody. He attended Peabody schools, graduated from Peabody High School, Class of 1979, then Sylvania ITT Technical School. Mr. Stone enjoyed everything to do with computers. After starting as a Microsoft Computer Engineer, he eventually was Owner/Operator, Network Engineer for his business Comp-Tech Plus. He was a giving person and good soul, who enjoyed times spent with family and friends. He is survived by: his wife of six months, Roxanne (Holt) Stone of Salem; a son, Matthew Stone of SC; two daughters, Lindsay O’Neil and Ashley Stone, both of SC; a grandson, William O’Neil of SC; his parents, Robert Stone of Lynn and his mother Maryann (Liimatainen) Paris-Stone of Peabody; ; a sister, Kathy “Kat” Stone of MN; four step-sons, Michael Decoff and Charles Iliffe, both of Cape Cod, Robert Luby and Ryan Luby both of Salem three step-sisters, Kasey Stone, Renee Stone, and Kimberly Stone all of Lynn; two step-brothers, Robert Stone and Stephen Stone both of Lynn; several nieces and nephews, and was the former husband of Linda Whitemore of SC. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 5 to 7:15 P.M., A Funeral Service commemorating his life at 7:30 P.M. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody. Cremation will follow after the ceremony. Memorial donations may be made to the North Shore Cancer Center, 17 Centennial Dr., Peabody, MA 01960 or to a charity of one’s choice
