Obituary of Rose (Trueira) Rendeiro

Rose (Trueira) Rendeiro, 88, of Peabody, died Friday morning at the Cedar Glen Nursing Home in Danvers following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Carlos Rendeiro. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Emelia (Andrade) Trueira. She was a lifelong resident of Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School. She worked for over 25 years as a sales associate at the former Jordan Marsh Store at the North Shore Shopping Center in Peabody. She was a very active communicant and one of the founding member’s of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Peabody. After her retirement, she volunteered many years at the Peter A. Torigian Community Life Center in Peabody and later participated in the community events. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, John and Marie Rendeiro of Peabody and Charles Rendeiro of Beverly Farms, a brother and two sisters-in-law, Joseph and Marion Trueira of Peabody and Patricia Trueira-Mourey of Peabody, three grandchildren, Jennifer and her husband Denis Catto, Amy and her husband Jamie Varmette, and John Rendeiro Jr., and a great grandchild, Kristopher. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and her many friends at Penelope Apartments in Peabody. She was the sister of the late Fernando Trueira. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
