Obituary of Tatiana "Tynna" (Grayton) Tkachuk
Tatiana “Tynna” (Grayton) Tkachuk, 89, of Peabody, died Thursday at the Mass
General Hospital in Boston after a short illness. She was the wife of the late Peter Tkachuk.
She was born in Peabody on January 7, 1918, the eldest child of the late Frank I. and Rose (Semenuk) Grayton and was a life long resident of Peabody.
She had been employed at the General Electric Company at West Lynn for over 25 years prior to her retirement. She was one of the founders of the Calvary Baptist Church in Peabody and was active in the choir and was a pianist there for many years.
She enjoyed doing ceramics, crocheting and knitting. Mrs. Tkachuk was an avid Boston Sport fan watching the Red Sox and Patriot and Bruins games with her sons. She was also a member of the GE Quarter Century Club.
She is survived by her two sons, Peter Tkachuk of Exeter, NH and Paul Tkachuk of Peabody, her siblings and their spouses, Joseph and Carole Grayton of Gloucester, Robert and Shirley Grayton of Danvers, Ruth and George Sippel and Pauline Grayton all of Peabody and Dorothy Stover of Belfast, Maine and several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews. She was the sister of the late Amy Lazarakis, Florence Hibbard and Matthew Grayton.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church, Chestnut St., Extension. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Gideons Bible International, P.O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN. 37214 in her memory.
