Obituary of Judith A. (Cody) Rapino

PEABODY Judith A. (Cody) Raponi, 45, beloved wife of Vincent Raponi, Jr., of Peabody, died unexpectedly on Wednesday afternoon at Salem Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Peabody, she was a lifelong resident of the city. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Lorraine (Doyle) Cody. She attended Peabody schools, and graduated from Peabody High School, Class of 1975. Mrs. Raponi worked for the City of Peabody Cafeteria Department at the Higgins Middle School for the last five years. She was a communicant at St. John the Baptist Church in Peabody, and was a dedicated mother and aunt; she loved children and being at home with her family, and was a committed caregiver to all children. She is survived by: her husband, Vincent Raponi, Jr., of Peabody, with whom she shared 21 years of marriage; three sons, Vincent Raponi, III, Nicholas Raponi, and Cody Raponi, all of Peabody; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Janyce & Thomas Harkins, Lorraine Cone, and Marian & Michael Garabedian, all of Peabody; three brothers, Robert & Patricia Cody of Peabody, Thomas & Lynne Cody of Phoenix, AZ, and Walter & Susan Cody of Danvers; her parents-in-law, Vincent & Marion (Nicolo) Raponi of Peabody, and many nieces, nephews, cousisn, neighbors and friends. Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 8 AM from the Conway facility at 12 Chestnut St. of the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass in ST. John’ s Church, Peabody,at 9:00 A.M. to which relatives and friends are invited. A visitation will be held on Friday from 4 to 8 P.M. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
