Obituary of Doris "Dodie" C. (Churchill) Strout (McKay)

Doris A. “Dodie” C. (Churchill) Strout (McKay) LYNNFIELD-- Doris A. “Dodie” C. (Churchill) Strout (McKay), 89, beloved wife of the late C. David Strout, died Saturday morning at the Pilgrim Rehab Center in Peabody following a lengthy illness. Born in Everett, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Blanch (Dingwell) Churchill. She lived in Saugus in her youth, and graduated from Saugus High School. Mrs. Strout was a Clerk with the Board of Assessors at the Town of Lynnfield for many years before retiring about 23 years ago. She enjoyed reading, playing Bridge, and social gatherings of family or friends, and was an animal love, especially for her dogs. She is survived by: two sons, David Strout of Seattle, WA and Jeffrey Strout of Groveland; five grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, and eight nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother Ralph Churchill and sister Betty Poor, and last husband Edward McKay. Her Funeral will be held on Thursday at 11 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. A visitation will start at 10:30 AM. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery, Lynnfield.
