Obituary of Pauline Grayton

Pauline Grayton, 73, of Peabody died Saturday January 20, 2007 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers after a very brief illness. Miss Grayton was born March 27, 1933 in Peabody daughter of the late Frank I. and Rose (Semenuk) Grayton. She was raised in Peabody and graduated from Peabody High School Class of 1950 and was a lifelong resident of the city. Miss Grayton was employed for many years in different capacities at the GTE Sylvania Loring Avenue Plant in Salem until her retirement in 1988. She had also worked at Varian Corporation for a few years. Miss Grayton enjoyed being with her family and friends and devoted her life caring for her mother, her siblings and other family members especially during their illnesses. She was a member of the GTE Quarter Century Club, a lifetime member of the Calvary Baptist Church and faithfully supported and attended church activities and especially enjoyed working with children. As a hobby, she made ceramics, enjoyed shopping and loved to plant and take care of her flower gardens. As a sports enthusiast, she followed the Patriots and Red Sox. Miss Grayton is survived by 2 brothers and their wives, Joseph and Carole Grayton of Gloucester, Robert and Shirley Grayton of Danvers; her 2 sisters, Ruth and her husband George Sippel of Peabody and Dorothy Stover of Belfast ME; several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Her siblings Matthew Grayton, Amy Lazarakis, Florence Hibbard and on January 11th her sister Tatiana “Tynna” Tkachuk pre deceased her. Her funeral service will be conducted Wednesday January 24, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Calvary Baptist Church, 4 Coolidge Rd., Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 to 8 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
