Obituary of Antoinette "Netta" "Toni" Olson
Antoinette (Mariano) Olson, 94, also known as “Netta” and “Toni” of Peabody and formerly of Swampscott, died early Friday morning at the Hunt Nursing Home in Danvers, following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Carl Olson.
Born in Swampscott, she was the daughter of the late Rocco and Angelina (Maccia) Mariano. She attended Swampscott schools and was a graduate of Swampscott High School. She has lived in Peabody for over the last 46 years.
Mrs. Olson was a communicant of St. John’s the Baptist Church in Peabody and was a member of the Lady’s Sodality and sang in the choir as well. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, and reading and was active at the Peabody Community Life Center.
She is survived by a son, Richard Olson of Colorado, a daughter, Carla Johnson of Beverly, a sister, Marie Grace Sprague of Denver, CO., three grandchildren, Eric Johnson, Jennifer Olson Landers, and Jeff Olson, and is also survived by four great grandchildren, Maxwell and Charlie Johnson, and Jay and Olivia Landers.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in St. John’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Burial in Swampscott Cemetery, Swampscott, MA.
