To Marie's Family:<br>May I offer mine and my family's deepest sympathy on the passing of a great lady.<br>I've known Marie my whole life. I grew up at 18 Buttonwood Lane and she and my Mom Ruth Parsons both taught in the Peabody School system. They were very good friends for many years. Marie and Art were frequent visitors at our home, and when my Mom passed away in 1972, I kept in touch with Marie. Bonded as we were by our love of books, I made it a point to call or send a note from time to time, and she would frequently patronize the library where I worked in Peabody. Marie was a person of great character and humor. This was the first year I did not receive a holiday card from her, so I knew she had to be in failing health. I stopped by to see her a couple of years ago, and we had a nice chat and reminisced about bygone days. I will miss her.
