Obituary of Adolph "Al" Guido

Adolph G. “Al” Guido died early Saturday morning, January 20, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was the devoted husband and best friend of his wife of 53 years, Lois F. (LaRocco) Guido. Mr. Guido was born on March 9, 1933 in New York. He was a Peabody resident for the past 38 years and was the former owner of The Computer Trading Post of Saugus and Peabody. He was most recently employed by the Peabody-Essex Museum. His greatest enjoyment in life was following the athletic and academic endeavors of his grandchildren, and he was a familiar presence at many of their games. Masconomet Regional High School and Bishop Fenwick High School have lost one of their biggest fans. Al touched the lives of everyone he knew, and he will be deeply missed by all. In addition to his loving wife Lois, he is survived by his sons Al and his wife Patti of Middleton, and Mark and his wife Shelly of Peabody, his daughter, Lois and her fiancé Edward Buchanan of Everett, his four devoted grandchildren, Stephanie, Katie, Nicholas, and Andrew. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Mary Guido, his sister, Doris Ciufo, and his sister-in-law, Carol Guffanti, all of New York. Funeral Services were held privately by the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Memorial donations can be made to the Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, MA 01923.
