Obituary of Eugenia Cromidas

Eugenia Cromidas PEABODY—Eugenia Cromidas, 68, died suddenly and unexpectedly at her home on Monday morning. Born in Lynn, MA on October 8, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mamie (Malliaros) Cromidas. She lived in Lynn a short time, then moved to Peabody where she attended schools and graduated from Peabody High School. She worked in Customer Service and Gift Wrapping with Filene’s Department Store at the North Shore Mall for over 40 years until retiring about four years ago. Miss Cromidass was an active member of St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church in Peabody, where she sang in the Choir and taught Sunday School for their Religious Education Program. She loved singing, and was also active with the Paul Madore Chorale of Salem, and traveled with them to France. She also enjoyed other trips, especially to Greece. Surviving her are a brother, George Cromidas of Danvers; a sister, Joanne Horgan formerly of Beverly and Peabody; 10 nieces and nephews, Timothy Horgan, Peter Horgan, Lisa M. Horgan, Derek Horgan, Joey Horgan, Shannon Horgan, Candace Horgan, Kim Cromidas, Kelly Consoli, and George Cromidas, Jr.; and a special, dear friend, Maria Bouras. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a visitation on Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Service at 10 AM in St. Vasilios Church, Peabody. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Vasilios Altar Fund, 7 Paleologos St., Peabody, MA 01960.
