Obituary of Ora A. "Peggy" (Bergeron) Yakubowskas

Ora “Peggy” (Bergeron) Yakubowskas, 86, of Peabody, wife of the late Albert Yakubowskas, died Wednesday morning February 7, 2007 at the Pilgrim Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Peabody. Mrs. Yakubowskas was born December 7, 1920 in Woonsocket Rhodes Island daughter of Eugene and Alberta (Durand) Bergeron. She was raised in Salem and graduated from Salem High School Class of 1938. She resided in Salem before moving to Peabody in 1969. Mrs. Yakubowskas began her working career at the former CBS Hytron in Danvers and was then employed for many years as an assembler at EG & G in Salem until her retirement in 1985. She loved playing beano at Temple Beth Shalom in Peabody. She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Gayle A. and Donald Cavanaugh of Peabody; a son and his wife, Eugene A. “Skip” and Helen Yakubowskas of the Philippines; a sister and her husband, Amelia and John Mustone of CT; her grandchildren and their spouses, Wendy and Kirk Neumann, Donald and Jaynie Cavanaugh all of Peabody, Jeffrey and Kelly Yakubowskas of Beverly and Laura Yakubowskas and Steve Cardone of Gloucester; 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her sister Julia Bergeron pre deceased her. Her funeral will be held on Saturday February 10, 2007 at 8 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. (new location) Peabody followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, 16 Church St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Friday 4 to 8 p.m. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
