Obituary of John J. Linehan

John J. Linehan LYNN—John J. Linehan, 86, died Monday morning at the Pilgrim Rebabilitation Health Center in Peabody following a brief illness. Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late John and Rose (Kane) Linehan. He lived in Lynn in his youth, and graduated from Lynn Classical High School. After serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II, he lived in Maryland for 50 years before moving back to Lynn where he lived for the last 10 years. Mr. Linehan worked in the Maintenance Department for the Police Department in Arundel, MD for many years. He enjoyed being an outdoorsman, especially fishing. Surviving him are: one sister, Rose Linehan of Lynn, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James Linehan and Eugene Linehan, and sisters Irene Mazeikus, Louise McGee, and Mary Collins. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 9 to 9:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in St. Ann’s Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lynn.
