Obituary of Edward Joseph Forbes

Edward Joseph Forbes, 50, of Las Vegas Nevada died Wednesday February 14, 2007 at the Heights of Summerlin Hospice House in Las Vegas with his family at his side. Mr. Forbes was born July 27, 1956 in Lynn son of Patricia A. (Ryder) Forbes and the late Joseph W. Forbes. He was raised in Peabody & Wakefield and graduated from Northeast Regional High School in Wakefield Class of 1975 where he studied auto mechanics. He later pursued his education and received an Associates Degree in Flight Engineering from Community College of the Air Force. Mr. Forbes enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1975 and attained the Rank of Master Sergeant. During his 24 year Air Force career he was a C-130 Hercules Flight Engineer Instructor/Flight Examiner. He received his honorable discharge in 1999. Since 2001, he had been employed as a Team Lead/Loadmaster with U.S. Airways in Las Vegas Nevada. He traveled extensively throughout the world and was an avid golfer. In addition to his mother of Peabody, he is survived by a brother, Glenn A. Forbes of Peabody. His funeral will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. (new location) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Ann’s Church, 140 Lynn St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Wednesday 6 to 8 p.m. Burial at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
