Obituary of Adeline M. (Mello) Ciman

Adeline (Mello) Ciman 91 years of Peabody, wife of the late John J. Ciman, died Sunday at the Forest View Nursing Home in Wareham, MA. Mrs. Ciman was born December 15, 1913 in Peabody daughter of the late John and Mary (Ventura) Mello. She was raised and educated in Peabody and was a lifelong resident. Mrs. Ciman was employed as a stitcher for many years at the Ideal Baby Shoe Company and retired in 1996 from the Rex Leather Company in Peabody. She is survived by a daughter, Linda M. Dokken of Tiverton, RI; a son and his wife, John L. and Barbara Ciman of Peabody; 4 grandchildren, John Ciman and Deborah Miele both of Peabody, Annmarie Almeida and Cheryl Dokken both of Tiverton RI; 3 great grandchildren, Rachel Miele, Sarah and Emily Ciman all of Peabody; a sister-in-law, Millie Mello of Peabody and several nieces and nephews. She was pre deceased by her siblings William, James and Daniel Mello. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 20 Church St., location, Peabody. Relatives and friends may pay their respect Wednesday from 10:15 to 11:30 a.m. Burial in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’ s Association, 36 Cameron Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02140.
