Obituary of Robert A. "Bob" Ryans
Robert A. “Bob” Ryans, 55, husband of Cheryl A. Deschene of Salem, died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday February 15, 2007.
Mr. Ryans was born on May 20, 1951 in Lynn son of the late Donald A. and Barbara H. (Sweet) Ryans. He was raised and educated in Lynn. In 1980 he moved to Salem.
Mr. Ryans began working as an assembly technician at Lechmere in Danvers, then at J.P. Furniture assembly and for the past few years at Impact Resources. Bob will also be well remembered by Marblehead residents to whom he delivered the Boston Globe for the last 20 years. Bob lived for his son James whom he adored.
In addition to his wife, his loving son, James P. Ryans of Salem; a dear friend, JoAnn Simmons of Salem and many niece and nephews survive him.
His family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday February 24, 2007 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. (new facility) Peabody with a closing service held at 2:30 p.m. His burial of ashes will be held at a later date. A memorial benefit fund has been established in James name and donations may be sent in his memory to the James Ryans Benefit Fund, C/O Eastern Bank, 37 Foster Street, Peabody MA 01960.
