Obituary of Dorothy (Raphael) Aceto

Dorothy (Raphael) Aceto PEABODY—Dorothy (Raphael) Aceto, 89, beloved wife of the late John Aceto, died Tuesday morning at the Essex Park Nursing and Rehab Center in Beverly following a long illness. Born in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Marie (Medeiros) Raphael. She lived in Cambridge in her youth and attended schools there. Mrs. Aceto worked in what was organized as the Xerox/Photocopying Department at Arthur D. Little Company in Cambridge. Besides her nurturing role as mother, wife, and work she enjoyed knitting, sewing, crochet and bingo. She is survived by: two daughters and a son-in-law, Gloria & Jay Scheffer of Plymouth and Lorraine Hutchins of Peabody; five grandchildren, Mark & Jenn Scheffer, Lori-Jean & Jeff Brodeur, Glen & Sara Scheffer, Heidi Batts and Steven Hutchins; three great-grandchildren, Cameron and Emily Brodeur and Chloe Batts, and another baby due very soon; she had four sisters and two brothers and several nieces and nephews. Following cremation, a visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:30 AM until her Funeral Ceremony at 12:30 PM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn ST. location, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited. Urn burial will be at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to either: North Shore Elder Services, Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923, Essex Park Arts & Crafts Fund, 265 Essex St., Beverly, MA 01915 or to Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, MA 01923.
