Obituary of Mary E. (Harrison) Pierce

Mary E. (Harrison) Pierce, 82, wife of the late Philip A. Dutch Pierce, died Thursday evening at the Danvers Nursing & Rehab Center following a short illness. Born and raised in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Arthur & Mary (Coan) Harrison. She was a lifelong resident of the city and had attended Peabody Schools and was a graduate of St. John’ s High School, Peabody. She had mainly worked as a waitress at the Colonial Restaurant in Lynnfield for over 20 years and also had worked in a Bakery in Peabody before retiring many years ago She is survived by her loving family, including 2 sons, Donald P. Pierce of Peabody, and Philip H. Pierce of Lynn; a daughter, Ellen Thompson of Winston, GA; a sister, Irene Farrell of Peabody; 2 sisters-in-laws, Eleanor Sis Pierce of Fla., and Peabody, and Evelyn Harrison of Peabody; a brother-in-law, Robert Pierce of Reading and 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late George R. Pierce. Her Funeral Service will be held Monday at 8:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’ s Church, Peabody, @ 9:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Sunday from 5-8 PM. Expressions of Sympathy can be made to the Alzheimer’ s Assoc., 36 Cameron Ave, Cambridge, MA 02140-1102.
