Obituary of Albano Capela
Albano Capela, 83, of Peabody, died Saturdy at his
Residence after a year long illness. He was the husband of Mary (Barros) Capela who
Died last January.
Born and raised in Portugal, he was the son of the late Jaime and Etelvina Capela and had resided in Peabody for the past 40 years.
He had been employed at the Cut-Rite Leather Company, Peabody for 25 years
Prior to his retirement. He enjoyed gardening and being with his family.
He is survived by a son, Milton Capela of Peabody , a daughter and son-in-law,
Lucy and Roland Poulin of Peabody, 2 brothers and a sister-in-law, Duarte Capela of
Portugal and Henry and Jeanette Capela of Peabody ; 3 sisters and 2 brother-in-laws,
Maria Fezendeiro, Rosa and Ernest Pinto and Berta and Atavio Pinto all of Peabody ;
2 grandchildren, Amy Silva and Kym Carpenter both of Peabody , a great granddaughter, Kelsey Marie Carpenter of Peabody and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility followed by a funeral Mass in Our Lady of Fatima Church,
Peabody at 10:00 A.M. Burial in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours on Monday from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the No Shore
Cancer Center, 17 Centennial Dr., Peabody, Ma. 01960 in his memory.
