Obituary of Anita (Hurd) Seaman

Anita (Hurd) Seaman, 78, passed away at home on Thursday, March 08, 2007. Family came first with Anita. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she had a big, loving heart and there was room in it for everyone. She was happiest when surrounded by her family, her husband Kenneth Seaman, her sons and their spouses, Timothy and Joan Seaman of Peabody and Jeffrey and Jeanne Seaman of Beverly, and her 3 precious gems, the grandchildren, Patrick, Katie, and Bryan Seaman. She is also survived by her sister, Dottie Jordan and had a close, loving relationship with her late sisters, Alvina Matthews and Eleanor Jordan. Anita worked as a waitress at the Hilltop Restaurant for 20 years and made many friends there, both coworkers and patrons. In her 50’s she started a new and successful career as a real estate agent at Century 21. She touched the lives of most with her kind, caring, manner and her connections went beyond the merely professional with many of her clients. It seemed she was always adding to her extended family, bringing home pictures of couples and their children whom she had helped to find a home of their own. Anita was one of those people who are always fully engaged with life. Her husband and sons remember well her favorite saying, “Live Life!” She will be dearly missed by all who were lucky enough to know her. Her funeral service will be held on Monday at 9:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Ann’s Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 1:00- 4:00 PM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody
