Obituary of Mary E. (Caton) Conde

Mary E. (Caton) Conde, of Peabody, died early Thursday afternoon at the Sunrise Gardner Park Facility in Peabody following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Joseph Sousa Conde. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Frances (Sylvester) Caton. She was a lifelong resident of Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School. She was devoted to her family and her Church, St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Peabody. She also enjoyed gardening and her flowers. She is survived by a sister-in-law, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and grand nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joseph Caton. Her funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Peabody to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours on Sunday from 3:00 until 6:00 PM. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to either the Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., or North Shore Elders Services, 152 Sylvan St, both in Danvers, MA 01923.
