Obituary of Eugenia "Jennie" F. (Picanso) Rose

Eugenia “Jennie” (Picanso) Rose PEABODY—Eugenia “Jennie” (Picanso) Rose, 92, beloved wife of the late Frank Rose, died Friday morning at the Rosewood Nursing Center in Peabody following a brief illness. Born in Lawrence, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Sousa) Picanso. She lived in Peabody most of her life. Mrs. Rose was employed in the Production Department at GTE Sylvania in Salem for years. She was a member of the Holy Ghost Society, Our Lady of Help Society, and active at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Peabody. She enjoyed nurturing her five generation family. Surviving her, are: two sons, Richard F. Rose of Peabody and Donald F. Rose of Salem; four grandchildren, Richie Rose, Jr. of Peabody, Donnie Rose, Jr. of CA, Sherry Rose of FL, and Scott Rose of Dorchester; six great-granchildren; four great-great grandchildren; very special nieces and nephews, Mary Lambert, Jim Silva, Bob Silva, all of Peabody, and Sharon of OH, Martha of SC, and Nancy of GA. She was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and James Silva. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 - 8 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home., 82 Lynn St. facility. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice
