Obituary of Manuel Machado Rosario
Manuel Machado Rosario, 82, of Peabody died Wednesday morning at Harborside Healthcare Twin Oaks in Danvers.
Mr. Rosario was born on November 29, 1924 in Terceira, Azores, Portugal son of the late Jose and Margarida (Adelaide) Machado. He was raised and educated in Portugal and immigrated to the United States in 1980 making his residence in Peabody.
He was employed for many years as a kitchen helper at Augustine’s Restaurant in Saugus.
Mr. Rosario is survived by a brother and his wife, Jose and Rosa Machado of Peabody; a half brother, Guilherme da Silva Cordeiro of Lowell; several nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
His funeral will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. (new location) Peabody followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 50 Walsh Ave., Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Friday 5 to 8 p.m. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
